CAAHU Awarded the GOLD Seal Certification |

Last year, we were happy to report to you that we were awarded the Silver Seal Certification by NAHU. Well, this year we have stepped it up and are thrilled to announce that Capital Area AHU was just awarded the GOLD Seal Certification by NAHU!! Congratulations CAAHU!!
Just to let you know how big this is, only 16 other chapters of the 218 chapters nationally have certified at this level! CAAHU is now in the top 7% of all chapters! We owe a BIG thank you to our outgoing President, Peggy Gainey. Over the past two years, Peggy has done a phenomenal job of turning our chapter around and leading us to be the GOLD Seal Certified Chapter that we are today! Thank you, Peggy!
The National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) is proud to announce that the Capital Area Association of Health Underwriters has qualified to receive the Gold Seal of Certification. NAHU's Chapter Certification Program is an ongoing program that recognizes excelling chapters all year long. Recognition is based on criteria satisfaction in various areas. To earn the Gold Certified chapters must satisfy at least nine (9) of fourteen (14) criteria. Once a chapter satisfies 9 of the 14 criteria it will automatically receive the Gold Seal of Certification.
“The Gold Seal of Certification is bestowed upon chapters that have demonstrated developmental excellence in their area, nationally and in the health care industry,” said NAHU CEO Janet Trautwein. “The volunteers in the Capital Area AHA met our expectations and far exceeded them.” |

CAAHU was chartered on January 28, 2000 as a local chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). We are a professional association whose membership is comprised primarily of insurance agents and brokers and insurance company representatives.
Representing 20,000+ members across the nation, NAHU is the only national association working solely on behalf of individual health insurance agents and the consumers they serve today. NAHU membership makes you part of an elite group of health insurance professionals. NAHU’s vision statement is that every American will have access to private-sector solutions for health, financial and retirement security and the services of insurance professionals.
Our members participate in local, state and federal legislative development. CAAHU provides monthly membership programs for the professional and educational development of our membership and community outreach through various community service projects.
